Internships

Internships are a great way to give area residents - both youth and adults - an orientation to working in health care. They offer the opportunity to experience first-hand what a particular job or department looks like, and to really understand if that's a good career fit for them. It also gives hospitals an opportunity to educate the broader community about the range of occupations within health care and the benefits of working in a hospital.

Many hospitals already offer internship programs. Even if you do, these materials may help you to boost your program to provide the ultimate in healthcare career resources to your interns. We've developed a set of ready-made materials for you to use to introduce, implement, and evaluate your internship program.
